Veteran Telugu actor Krishnam Raju, the paternal uncle to Baahubali and Saaho fame Prabhas, was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad last night. According to a source close to the veteran star, The former union Minister Rebel Star Krishnam Raju has been admitted to Care hospital in Hyderabad and is in iCU. The sources say that Prabhas’ uncle has been suffering from pneumonia for the last few days so his family members took to him to the hospital last night.
Krishnam Raju, who has over 150 films to his credit, is undergoing treatment at Care hospital where doctors have kept him under observation. Although Krishnam Raju’ condition is not worrisome, he’s been advised to stay under observation for at least 48 hours.
The doctor who is treating Kirshnam Raju in ICU, said that the condition of the actor is stable and he will be discharged once he recovers. More update, regarding his health condition is awaited.
Baahubali star Prabhas is very close to his uncle Kirshnam Raju, who was instrumental in launching the career of the former. Both Krishnam Raju and Prabhas even worked together in a Telugu film called Rebel. Kirshnam Raju, in the industry, is properly known as Rebel Star.
Krishnam Raju has acted in more than 183 feature films in his career. He made his film debut with Chilaka Gorinka in 1966, which was produced and directed by Kotayya Pratyagatma. On the work-side, Krishnam Raju is bankrolling Prabhas starrer upcoming romantic drama Jaan, which is helmed by KS Radha Krishna Kumar. In this film Prabhas will romance with Maharshi girl Pooja Hegde.
