Internationally Delhi is at 169, Chennai 184, Bangalore 189, Hyderabad 202, Kolkata 211, Pune 213. This report was prepared after surveying 227 cities across the world.
Hong Kong, Singapore and Zurich are the most expensive cities in the world. The report was prepared on the basis of 200 expenses such as accommodation, food, transportation, household items, entertainment expenses, clothing. The report said that Mumbai and Delhi are favorable in terms of costs for multinational companies to set up offices abroad. Pakistan’s Karachi and Islamabad are among the least expensive cities in this list.
Delhi and Mumbai rank among top 35 most expensive cities in the Asia for expatriates, among those surveyed in the year 2023.
